Cemetery of German soldiers who died during World War I in July 1915


In the middle of the distance between Kraczewice and Wólka Łubkowska, just before Łubinów in the area of ​​Szczuczki Kolonia, there is a small war cemetery by a dirt road. 64 German soldiers were buried here. They were fighting in the Prussian 47th Reserve Infantry Division, subordinates to the 4th Imperial-Royal Army (Austro-Hungarian). The sub-units of this formation (217, 218 and 220 reserve infantry regiments and the 19th reserve rifle battalion) fought battles with the Russians on the Bełżyce–Poniatowa line on July 21-23 and on July 29-30, 1915.

At the burial site, two sandstone stelae commemorating officers of the German army: Lieutenant Erich Weiss from the 19th Reserve Rifle Battalion (LEUTN [an] T ERICH WEISS RJ BATL.19 / 1.K.) And Lieutenant Franz Baltruschat from the 218th Reserve Regiment Infantry (LEUTN [an] T FRANZ BALTRUSCHAT RJR218 / 8.K.) died on July 22, 1915.


It was established in 1915. Set on a regular pentagonal plan with dimensions of 20 x 6 by 11.5 by 11.5 by 6 m. It consisted of 7 mass graves.

The cemetery was renovated in 2015, thanks to funding from the Office for Commemorating the Struggle and Martyrdom and the Governor of Lublin t. A fence made of wooden rails attached to wooden posts was constructed, referring in style to the 1916-1918 design.
